First Notes Class Information

By participating in this program, you agree that there is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 and will not hold First Notes, participants, or third parties liable in the event of infection.

Vaccination

  • Indoor classes – Adults (parents or caregivers) who attend indoor First Notes classes must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. 
  • Outdoor classes – Vaccination is not required.

Masks

  • Indoor classes – Adults must wear CDC-compliant masks fully covering the mouth and nose.
  • Outdoor classes – Masks are not required.

Distancing

  • For both indoor and outdoor classes, please bring a blanket or beach towel to keep your family members together and 6 feet from other families.

What to Bring to Class

To help ensure safety, teachers do not distribute class items.  Please bring:

Teachers

  • Teachers are fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and will wear face masks or face shields while teaching.  

Family Health Protocols 

  • Adults and children must wash/sanitize hands before entering the First Notes class area
  • Temperature will be taken upon arrival at indoor classes for both students and caregivers, and must be at or below 99.5. Please take temperatures of all participants before leaving home.  No family member may attend if any child, family member or caregiver has a fever (99.5 or higher degrees) or any signs of illness.
  • If any child, family member, or caregiver has symptoms of Covid, is diagnosed with Covid or is exposed to anyone with Covid, no child, family member, or caregiver from the family may attend First Notes until they are symptom-free for 14 days in accordance with CDC and PA Public Health guidance.

Notifications

  • All information regarding the health of our participants and their families is kept confidential to respect the privacy of the families we serve.  First Notes cannot directly notify families if other participants within their class have contracted the Coronavirus, or other communicable illnesses. However, at the first sign of symptoms or upon exposure, we encourage our families to follow the guidelines issued by the CDC and/or local health authorities, and to not attend First Notes classes until all household members are symptom free for at least 14 days.
  • Should we become aware that a teacher or participant tests positive for Covid, we will follow the direction of the CDC and local health authorities.

Enforcement

  • Any participant who is not in compliance with these guidelines will be notified verbally or in writing, and is expected to immediately come into compliance.
  • Noncompliance may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
