Family Health Protocols

Teacher Health Protocols

  • Teachers take their temperature at the start of their day and are required to report any fever or other signs of illness, in which case class will be cancelled or held virtually.
  • Teachers will report if they experience any known Coronavirus symptoms immediately, and will not be allowed to return to teaching until they are symptom-free for 14 days, in accordance with CDC and PA Public Health guidance.
  • Teachers will report if they have been exposed to Coronavirus, and follow the subsequent self quarantining guidelines outlined by the CDC & Public Health guidance.

  • All information regarding the health of our participants and their families is kept confidential to abide by HIPAA and respect the privacy of the families we serve.  First Notes cannot directly notify families if other participants within their class have contracted the Coronavirus, or other communicable illnesses. However, at the first sign of symptoms or upon exposure, we encourage our families to follow the guidelines issued by the CDC and/or local health authorities, and to not attend First Notes classes until all household members are symptom free for at least 14 days.
  • Should we become aware that a teacher or participant tests positive for Coronavirus, we will follow the direction of the CDC and local health authorities.

  • Any participant who is not in compliance with these guidelines will be notified verbally or in writing, and is expected to immediately come into compliance.
  • Noncompliance may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
